Somatic Coaching
Somatic coaching sessions are a personalized healing space where you are met with presence and care. I listen deeply, not only to your words, but to what your body might be quietly holding.
We gently explore how your emotions and experiences are showing up in your body. During times of loss or big life changes, our bodies often hold onto unprocessed grief, stress, and emotional pain.
Together, we’ll work with how your system has adapted to stress, loss, or change, and support it in finding balance again. We’ll gently process and release what’s been held, while creating more capacity to move through life’s ups and downs - allowing you to find new ways to move forward with greater ease and trust in yourself.
Over time, you may notice that moving through emotions and feelings becomes easier, that you have more space within you for growth and possibility, and you feel more connected to yourself and to life.
One-on-One Sessions
Who I Work With
I support people navigating many kinds of transitions, challenges, and life experiences, including:
Grief and loss
Chronic illness or pain
Major life transitions - such as divorce, breakups, becoming a parent, or caregiving
Signs of nervous system dysregulation - such as anxiety, overwhelm, numbness, disconnection, or feeling shut down.
How We Begin
Our work together starts with a free 45-minute consultation - a space to connect, ask questions, and share what’s been happening in your life.
It’s a gentle first step where we can get a sense of each other and see whether somatic work feels like the right kind of support for you.
If it feels aligned, we’ll schedule your first session and begin at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Healing often begins with a single conversation.
If you’re ready, I’d love to have that conversation with you.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, we talk - but it might feel a little different than what you’re used to. Our conversations move at a slower pace, creating space to notice what’s happening beneath the surface of your words - the sensations, emotions, and patterns that live in your body.
I’ll gently guide you in tuning in to what your body is communicating, so you can begin to understand and care for what’s happening inside. The focus isn’t just on what you think, but on how you feel - including the body in the process of healing.
-
Talk therapy is wonderful for gaining insight and cognitively understanding your experiences, but it doesn’t always create change in how you feel.
Somatic work brings the body and nervous system into the process. Many of our emotions, stress responses, and protective patterns live in the body, often outside of our conscious awareness. By noticing and working with what’s happening in the body, we begin to access the parts of our experience that talking alone can’t reach - allowing for deeper healing, regulation, and lasting change.
-
No, you don’t have to share your story in detail. In my work, I use Somatic Experiencing™ skills, which support healing through the body rather than through re-telling or analyzing the past.
We may acknowledge parts of your story for context, but the focus is on how those experiences are showing up in your body now - through sensations, emotions, or patterns of tension and protection.
This approach helps gently map your inner experience and support your system in finding more resolution and balance, without needing to re-live painful memories or go deeper than feels right for you.
-
That’s completely okay, and a very common concern. But that’s what’s so wonderful about somatic healing: it’s a gentle process. We work with only small, manageable pieces of emotion and feeling at a time.
I follow the lead of your nervous system throughout our work together. You’ll never be pushed to feel more than what’s tolerable. This gradual, body-led approach allows healing to unfold naturally - at your own depth and pace.
Kind reflections from my clients…
“I started working with Ashley a month after I lost my husband suddenly to illness.
We were together for 15 years—it was unexpected and the most traumatic experience I’ve ever faced. Working with Ashley has been the most beneficial support I’ve received in coping with the loss of a loved one. During a dark time in my life, I was able to develop tools that helped me take care of myself and my daughter. I was able to go to places in my mind I never imagined I could face—and with Ashley’s help, I could visit those places and come out feeling better than when I started the session.
Ashley made me feel like healing was possible, which at the time felt nearly impossible.
When I feel overwhelmed or I feel tension in my body, I have the tools I learned in our sessions to help me care for myself and feel more okay in the moment. I can navigate situations that previously left me feeling frozen.
Before working with Ashley, I didn’t realize what trauma can do to the body. I would encourage anyone dealing with trauma or loss to receive this type of support.
I can’t imagine where I’d be today without Ashley’s help. She is a true professional who made sure I didn’t feel alone during one of the darkest times in my life.”

“I received a diagnosis six years ago that turned my life upside down.
Since then, I’ve spent a lot of time, energy and money into therapy. In just a few months of somatic coaching with Ashley, I’ve experienced a life changing transformation. Ashley’s calming voice and supportive energy allows me to be vulnerable so we can deepen our work together. She has guided me to experience suppressed emotions that were deep in my body. I can now recognize in my body when an emotion needs my attention. Ashley’s taught me many tools that have equipped me with the confidence to conquer situations I previously avoided. I previously lived in my head, but now my mind body connection is bringing a level of peace to my whole body. Every session with Ashley is truly an enlightening experience. Thank you Ashley!”

“I contacted Ashley during my divorce when I was really struggling with guilt, shame, and just getting through each day. I felt completely lost.
Ashley has been incredibly supportive, going out of her way to help me. She created a safe space where I can talk openly about what I’m going through without judgment, which has meant everything to me.
Her somatic approach taught me to set aside time each day to actually process the pain and trauma I’ve been carrying, rather than pushing it down. Learning to work through these feelings instead of avoiding them has made a real difference. I was able to release so much anxiety, stress and start to find my self worth again.
I can’t believe how much stronger and happier I feel now compared to where I started. I have gone from strength to strength. I never thought it was possible.
Ashley helped me through one of the darkest periods of my life and continues to support me. I couldn’t have asked for a better person in my corner.
Ashley, thank you for helping me to find the person I knew was inside me but didn’t know how to reach. Thank you for giving me hope. I’m so grateful and I can’t thank you enough.”
- Matt
“I first connected with Ashley through her grief support course on Insight Timer following a painful relationship break-up, and I’m so grateful I reached out.
From the very beginning, she created a kind, safe, and compassionate space where I could be completely honest about what I was going through.
Her gentle, somatic approach helped me not only talk about my breakup, but truly feel and process the emotions I had been carrying. With her guidance and intuitive insights, I learned how to sit with my feelings and begin releasing the heaviness that previously felt overwhelming.
Ashley’s kindness and wisdom have been a lifeline for me during such a painful time. I now feel lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself, and I couldn’t be more thankful for her support.
If you’re going through a difficult period and struggling to move forward, I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to her for support. Thank you, Ashley”
